Police Recruitment Drive Gains Momentum with New Intake from Momase Region

PORT MORESBY — The Royal Papua New Guinea Constabulary (RPNGC) continues to push forward with its national recruitment campaign as over 100 successful candidates from the Momase Region arrived in Port Moresby today to commence police training.

The aspiring officers, who hail from East Sepik, West Sepik, Madang, and Morobe provinces, are part of the latest intake aimed at boosting the police force’s manpower across the country. This comes under the directive of Police Commissioner David Manning, who has been spearheading the initiative to strengthen law enforcement capabilities and visibility nationwide.

While this group begins their training, the RPNGC Recruitment Team will move on to the Southern Region and eventually to other parts of the country to complete interviews and shortlisting of candidates.

“This is a step in the right direction. Increasing police presence is critical to addressing law and order issues throughout PNG,” said an officer with the NCD/Central Divisional Command.

The Police Commissioner and RPNGC Management have thanked all stakeholders involved in the recruitment process and extended best wishes to the new recruits as they begin their rigorous training program.
